Introduction
School is the place we go to get an education. It’s the place that prepares us for adulthood. Or so they say.
We were taught subjects like history, science, and mathematics. Some of us were fascinated by science, some others by math, and others by sport, where we excelled (or didn’t) in our respective fields. We were taught how to calculate the time a particular object would take to reach a certain place if it follows a certain trajectory at a certain speed. In moral science class we were taught about morals and ethics and what it means to be a good human being. In science we were taught biology, chemistry, and physics which all managed to explain much of the world around us, on an elementary level at least. In history we were taught about ancient conquests, wars, battles won and lost, and how all those events shaped our collective history and lead our respective countries to be where they are today.
