Bang on! Anything said by a child to his/her parents about bullies at school are never taken at face value . Them and the rest of the society think you're always lying or trying to cause a ruckus. Like another commenter below, I too am shocked as to how this isn't happening more often.

When parents, friends, teachers and counsellors pay a deaf ear to a victim's cries for help and lets off the tormentors with a rap on the knuckles, that's how you create a monster.
