I 100% agree with you on this. In fact, it was one of the most frustrating things for me as well at my previous job. Very similar to your story, everything else was manageable and I learned to adapt along the way.

Except for the boredom. I just seemed to be never be able to adapt to it. No matter how many articles I read, or how many things I browsed on the net, nothing seemed to blunt out the effect of those empty moments.

I guess if I'd discovered Medium at that time, I would have just started with my writing career and made much better, judicious use of my time.
