I like how you separately mentioned responsibilities and priorities. Because responsibilities are inherently part of your life (like cooking and doing the dishes), whereas priorities are options.

So many family folks often crib that family life is what's eating into the time they could have either spent socializing, learning or working more.

Like no son! You chose the family life over a career path. You chose a family life over socializing with friends. You were well aware of the responsibilities that came with it. You made it your PRIORITY!
