I'm definitely part of the "resist it" crowd. There's nothing so phenomenally useful that technology has brought to the classroom that kids can't learn sufficiently well from otherwise. More than anything, it will give them a much needed break from constantly staring at screens considering the fact that a massive majority of them don't go home to a playground or a sports facility, but a computer game (or the telly) after finishing the day's homework. (at least that's the case here in India)

It's bad enough screens have started substituting sport for leisure. Let it not try to infiltrate education as well.
