Life in India is tough. Dust, noise, and pollution are ubiquitous to Indian cities. These facts are well known. However, life in India is also unpredictable. All it takes is crossing paths with the wrong person to turn an otherwise ordinary day into a living nightmare.
Living in India, there will be an infinite number of scenarios where you will be forced to be the bigger person in the interest of your own safety. It’s just a way of life here. There are situations where you’d rather just retreat with your tail in between your legs than escalate for fear of repercussions and threats to life.
In India, striking a compromise with someone has become so commonplace in every area of life, we have become so oblivious to its existence. Unless you are obscenely wealthy or powerful, compromise is the name of the game.
