This !! I literally resonate with every word said in this. Because the more I read long form content, (non-fiction & fiction books alike, instead of every second article that pops into my Facebook feed), the less I have the impulsive urge to get a dopamine hit from doomscrolling on FB or Instagram stories.
Its truly a triple win, as I retain everything I read in a single book, as opposed to articles on social media/or mobile suggest.
I don't have the chance to feel insecure by other peoples lifestyles as portrayed by the media.
and thirdly, I get to improve my knowledge on things that pertain to my life (and career), instead of randomly reading feel good articles on social media, which only make me feel good in the moment, but then later fade away.
