This literally happens in India all the damn time. Like if you're travelling alone, 9 out of 10 times an elderly couple will ask you to switch seats so that the grandma could sit with the grandpa, Or their family members or whatever.

The worst thing is, being India, we have a very strong culture of respecting elders, so everyone in the bus will automatically side with the elderly couple just because they're elderly and have white hair. It doesn't matter that you haven't slept in the last 24 hours, or did a really long hike, or already travelled a long distance or whatever.

The elderly will garner the majority support just because they're old.
