Yeah, I can totally relate. Been waiting for Medium to pay Indian writers for months now, with no hope in sight even after multiple postponements citing some issue or the other.

Sure one can write for their "love of writing" or whatever, but having a passion is only good for someone just starting out....after a point, there's got to be some kind of external push that keeps it moving.....else you'll be forced to seek employment elsewhere and turn this into just a side hobby for whenever you have the free time.
